TPI Golf Performance Testing in Cornelius, NC

Find Out What Your Body Is Doing to Your Swing

Golfers come to us when they want a clear, objective picture of how their body is moving — and how it's affecting their game. Our TPI golf performance testing screens the mobility, strength, and movement patterns that drive your swing, then gives you a specific roadmap to address what's holding you back.

Playing Through Limitations You Don't Know You Have

Your Swing Coach Can't Fix What's Physical

When a movement restriction or weakness is limiting your swing, no amount of swing instruction will solve it. TPI screening identifies whether the problem is physical — and what it will take to address it at the source.

You're Training Without a Target

Generic fitness programming doesn't account for the specific demands of the golf swing. Without a screen, you don't know which restrictions or weaknesses are actually driving your limitations on the course.

You Keep Running Into the Same Ceiling

If distance, consistency, or comfort on the course has plateaued despite practice and lessons, there's often a physical reason. A TPI screen surfaces that reason before more time is lost chasing results through technique alone.

What Makes Us Different

Golf Performance Testing Built Around Your Body

We use the TPI screening process to assess the physical characteristics that directly influence your swing — hip mobility, thoracic rotation, shoulder mobility, stability, and strength. Every finding connects back to how your body moves through the swing, and every recommendation comes from a TPI-certified provider who understands both sides of that equation.

Common Conditions We Treat

Who TPI Golf Performance Testing Is For

The TPI screen isn't only for injured golfers. It's for anyone who wants to understand the physical side of their game — whether they're dealing with a recurring issue, trying to play more consistently, or simply want to move better through the bag for the next twenty years.

Golfers with Persistent Swing Faults — Physical restrictions at the hip, thoracic spine, or shoulder that your coach has flagged but lessons haven't resolved.

Players Dealing with Golf-Related Pain — Low back discomfort, hip tightness, or shoulder irritation that flares during or after a round and keeps getting in the way.

Golfers Wanting to Add Distance — Power production in the golf swing is physical. If mobility or strength is limiting your sequencing, a TPI screen identifies exactly where and why.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about TPI testing, answered.

What is TPI golf performance testing?

TPI — Titleist Performance Institute — is the world's leading golf fitness and performance organization. The TPI screen is a structured physical assessment that evaluates the mobility, stability, and movement patterns most relevant to the golf swing. The goal is to identify physical characteristics that may be limiting your movement on the course and connect them to a specific plan.

Do I need to be injured to get a TPI screen?

Not at all. Many golfers who come in for TPI testing are healthy but want to understand where physical limitations are affecting their game. The screen is as useful for injury prevention and performance improvement as it is for golfers dealing with a current issue.

How is this different from a golf lesson?

A TPI screen evaluates the body, not the swing. We assess what your hips, thoracic spine, shoulders, and stabilizing muscles can and can't do physically — and how those physical characteristics are showing up in the way you move. We don't analyze swing technique or provide swing instruction. That's your coach's domain. We handle the physical side.

What happens after the screening?

After the assessment, we walk you through exactly what the screen found — which areas are limiting your movement, how those findings connect to your swing and your goals, and what a targeted plan looks like from here. That might mean PT, golf performance training, a home exercise plan, or a combination. You leave with a clear picture and a specific next step.

Do you accept insurance for TPI testing?

Par Performance PT is a cash-based clinic and does not bill insurance directly. We accept HSA and FSA payments and can provide superbills for potential out-of-network reimbursement. There are no hidden costs — pricing is straightforward and discussed before you book.
